Silkworms are adorable little insects that I like to raise in the summer, known as the Bombyx Mori in the scientific community.
These animals enjoy eating mulberry leaves which I pick from local mulberry trees.
The image on the right shows silkworms in the 1st instar. Silkworms in the larva stage have 5 instars with 5th instar being the largest size, and 1st instar being the smallest size.
