This is my first original website project which I truly wanted to created something that is unique in the language learning community.
Much of my inspiration comes from Duolingo because I have been language learning on its platform since 2014. As a native speaker of Mandarin, I was curious to see what Duolingo had to offer, but its cirriculum is severely lacking. Even though it does provide the average user with foundational knowledge, there is no systematic way of learning the words individually or how 拼音pin1yin1 functions.
Even though, I may not have the most experience with website building, I hope that I can eventually create a website that will not only teach the average user how to read, write, speak, and listen to Mandarin Chinese, but also understand the history and culture behind these words.
